Ukrainian Valerii Danevych makes his functional wrist watches almost entirely out of wood, with the sole exception of a metal spring needed to propel the movement. According to Unique Watch Guide, he mostly uses birch because of its strength and resistance, but also more exotic wood such as juniper and bamboo.

If you wanna be my lover
You’ve gotta throw huge parties to get my attention and get your neighbor to invite me over for tea then let me run over my husband’s mistress in your car

You can choose what kind of tree you want to become
Idk I just find this beautiful
just imagine cemeteries looking like this
a forest of living, changing, beautiful trees. I think a tombstone holds much more finality in death than a tree. It’s like you are living on symbolically through something greater than yourself.
this is a serious post about how much I want this. I’ll make sure my family knows.
This is beautiful. But I’ve talked to my mom about this (I want my ashes to be used in a garden), and the children/grandchildren/etc could get emotionally attached to the tree planted in the person’s ashes— and think about how that would feel if something bad happened to the tree. BAM. there goes the monument to that person. Almost like having to deal with their death again.
I still really like the idea though.
